Description
The Kawai RX-1 is a highly regarded Japanese-built grand piano offering a rich, full tonal character,
responsive touch, and professional-level performance in a compact 5’5″ size.
Kawai grand pianos are often appreciated for their warmer, more rounded sound compared with many other Japanese-made instruments.
The RX-1 particularly appeals to pianists who prefer depth, richness, and a lyrical, expressive tone.
The RX-1 is less commonly found on the pre-owned market than many comparable Yamaha grand pianos,
making it an especially desirable choice for pianists seeking a quality Japanese instrument with exceptional musical performance and value.
One of its most notable features is Kawai’s innovative Millennium III grand piano action, incorporating carbon-fiber components
designed to provide excellent repetition, precise control, responsiveness, and long-term stability.
The RX Series earned an excellent reputation among pianists, teachers, schools, and institutions for its combination of Japanese craftsmanship,
durability, and musical performance. Its practical 5’5″ size makes it ideal for homes, teaching studios, churches, and serious pianists
who want the performance of a quality grand piano without requiring a larger instrument.
Avery Piano Company’s experienced technicians have professionally inspected, serviced, regulated, voiced, and tuned this RX-1.
Its attractive ebony satin cabinet has been carefully detailed and presents beautifully.
The piano also includes an installed Damp-Chaser humidity-control system, helping protect the instrument from seasonal humidity changes
while promoting greater tuning and structural stability.
With relatively limited availability of pre-owned RX-1 models, this instrument represents an excellent opportunity to own a desirable Japanese-built grand piano
featuring rich tonal qualities, responsive touch, and outstanding value. Compared to a new Kawai GL30 @ $33,000. This is a great piano, period.
