NEW Pearl River GP148 / P8 5’0 Baby Grand Piano

Quality Construction and Musical Performance

The GP148 combines traditional piano craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology to create an instrument that looks great and plays well.

Its solid spruce soundboard delivers excellent resonance and tonal response, while German Röslau strings add clarity, balance, and musical projection.

The piano’s responsive grand action offers comfortable control and expression, making it well suited for beginning students, advancing pianists, and experienced players alike.

The GP148 also features a carefully constructed cabinet, durable hardware, and a multi-laminated pinblock designed to provide long-term structural stability and reliable tuning performance.

Manufactured by Pearl River – One of the World’s Largest Piano Manufacturers

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Guangzhou, China, Pearl River Piano Group is one of the world’s largest piano manufacturers, operating a massive, modern manufacturing complex and producing instruments for markets worldwide.

Many piano buyers don’t realize that Pearl River’s manufacturing expertise extends far beyond its own name. The company has manufactured pianos for some of the most recognized names in the piano industry, including Steinway & Sons’ Essex piano line.

Pearl River also holds a controlling interest in Schimmel, one of Germany’s most respected piano manufacturers, and produces instruments under the Ritmüller and Kayserburg names.

With decades of piano-building experience, advanced manufacturing technology, and extensive international operations, Pearl River can produce a wide range of acoustic pianos, from affordable home instruments to higher-level professional models.

Its large-scale manufacturing capabilities, modern production equipment, and established piano-building expertise allow Pearl River to offer instruments with quality materials, attractive cabinetry, and dependable performance at highly competitive prices.

For the customer, this means exceptional value — a brand-new acoustic grand piano from one of the most experienced and largest piano manufacturers in the world, at a fraction of the cost of many competing instruments.
