YAMAHA U3

The Yamaha U3 has long been regarded as one of the finest professional upright pianos ever built. It is widely used in universities, teaching studios, churches, recording studios, and private homes because of its reliability, responsive touch, and powerful tone.

Standing 52″ tall, the U3 has a larger soundboard and longer strings than many upright pianos, giving it a deep, resonant bass, clear treble, and a fuller sound that can rival many smaller grand pianos. Its responsive action offers excellent control for students, teachers, advanced pianists, and professional musicians.

This instrument has been fully reconditioned and fitted with new Mapes bass strings and tuning pins. It has also been thoroughly regulated, voiced, serviced, and tuned by our technicians to provide an even touch and a balanced, powerful tone.

The Kawai K-500 is one of the U3’s strongest modern competitors and is another excellent professional upright piano. However, finding a properly maintained used K-500 at this price can be difficult. For buyers looking for the performance of a professional 52″ upright at a substantial savings compared with purchasing new, this Yamaha U3 represents an exceptional value.

With Yamaha’s respected Japanese craftsmanship and long-standing reputation for durability, the U3 remains one of the most sought-after used upright pianos on the market. It is an excellent choice for a home, school, church, teaching studio, or professional practice space.
