Description
This beautiful 2006 Yamaha GC2 Grand Piano has received regular tuning and professional service throughout its life and has been exceptionally well maintained.
As a result, the piano remains in mint condition, with both the cabinet and interior exceptionally well preserved.
Finished in polished mahogany, an optional factory finish that added a premium to the original purchase price, this Japanese-built grand is considerably less common
than the typical polished ebony example and offers a unique opportunity to acquire one of Yamaha’s more desirable grand pianos.
At 5’8″ in length, the Yamaha GC2 combines Yamaha’s renowned touch and reliability with the warmth and beauty of a fine furniture-quality cabinet.
The additional five inches over the smaller 5’3″ GC1 and C1 grands provide greater power, richer bass, and enhanced resonance.
The larger-scale design and wider tail contribute to a fuller, more powerful sound with greater presence than its smaller counterparts.
Built entirely in Yamaha’s Japanese manufacturing facilities, the GC Series was designed to combine many of the most desirable musical and performance features
found in Yamaha’s Conservatory Series grands with the value and practicality that made Yamaha’s earlier G Series pianos so successful.
Incorporating premium features such as duplex scaling, a full sostenuto pedal, the Yamaha Tone Collector system, and Yamaha’s renowned precision-crafted action,
the GC Series offers much of the performance and musical sophistication that has made the C-Series grands highly regarded by pianists worldwide.
As the succesor to Yamaha’s G series pianos the GC Series occupies a unique position in Yamaha’s lineup, offering many premium design features
while maintaining a strong value proposition. The result is a piano that delivers an exceptional balance of Japanese craftsmanship, musical performance, and long-term value.
