Steinway Model L Grand Piano #451606 was manufactured in 1972 on Long Island, New York. This 5’10 1/2″ Grand Piano is in the final stages
of an extensive restoration, all work done on site. Once completed, this instrument will feature a hand rubbed ebony satin finish,
re-plated brass hardware, all new Steinway action, the new hard maple pin block, refinished original spruce soundboard, dampchaser humidity control, and a janseen artist
bench.
The Model L is the largest size of Steinway Grand Pianos, sized to suit the space requirements of a private residence.
These models are extremely popular among pianists who appreciate owning and experiencing the excellence of a Steinway piano in a more manageable size.
They are also excellent pianos for institutional practice rooms and performance venues.
A one-owner piano was purchased initially from Avery.
The Model L is only 3 1/2″ longer than Model M, but the scale design and the tone are far superior.
These instruments suit the more advanced player, larger living room, and many school and teaching situations.
This instrument will undergo a series of refinements to ensure it performs and plays to a high standard. Inquire within for details and pricing.
