The piano wears a flawless Steinway hand-rubbed ebony satin finish, and sounds as good as it looks. An all-original Steinway, one-owner piano, it was meticulously cared for over the course of its life and is in exceptional condition.
The interior and exterior are in near-perfect condition, and our technicians performed all of the needed maintenance to ensure a high-performing piano. Our technicians also regulated, voiced, and performed multiple tunings to bring out the personality of the instruments and unlock the piano’s potential.
This particular model M features the New York Improved action geometry, which was redesigned and reengineered in 1992. The improvements led to advancements in leverage and revised manufacturing precision. Laboratory tests have proven that the keys on a Steinway can repeat 13% more quickly than any other piano. The same features that allow for this faster repeat also provide a much more sensitive, responsive keyboard, an aspect that can be appreciated even by beginning pianists.
